Former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has spoken about the February 9th elections and the result that came out of the voting boxes.

Looking at the political developments, Mustafa said that the chances of forming a new government that Kosovo needs are almost equal to the chances of going to new elections.

“Perhaps I am being pessimistic, but I believe the chance of forming a stable government, which is necessary for Kosovo, is equal to the chance of going to new elections,” he said.

Furthermore, Mustafa stated that no political party has a concrete initiative leading to the formation of the government, adding that they seem more inclined to avoid taking responsibility in these unforeseen geopolitical changes.

“I am not in a position to predict who will make the necessary majority to elect the government, but I observe that the process is not easy. It’s a somewhat paradoxical situation, in which no entity has a concrete initiative leading toward the formation of the government, because every combination seems fragile, and they seem more inclined not to take responsibility in these unforeseen geopolitical changes,” he emphasized for “Blic.”
