The President of the National Council of Albanians, Enkel Rexhepi, has announced that the Ministry for Human Rights and Dialogue in Serbia has canceled the decision of the Council regarding subsidies for farmers from the Presheva Valley, financed by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
According to him, this is another act of constant discrimination in every sphere faced by the Albanians of the Presevo Valley.
“The municipalities of Presheva and Bujanovc continue to be among the poorest in Serbia, and the Government continues, not only not taking any steps to improve the situation, but also blocking those processes that we are trying to undertake together with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in support of development in the Valley,” Rexhepi wrote.
He stated that they have filed an appeal to the Administrative Court and are waiting for a fair decision.
“If there is even a little justice in Serbia, this decision should be overturned, and our farmers should benefit from this subsidy,” Rexhepi added.
