With the majority of deputies arriving, the session for the constitution of the new legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo has begun, 45 minutes late.
A total of 120 deputies are present at the session.
The session was preceded by a meeting of Avni Dehari, the Assembly speaker, with representatives of political parties, reports IndeksOnline.
After the meeting with Dehari, representatives from all parties agreed to unanimously vote on the new report from the commission for the verification of mandates.
“In the consultative meeting to unblock the situation, we concluded that we are in agreement to vote anonymously for the report. I ask the deputies to first declare themselves for the Commission,” said Dehari.
Meanwhile, representatives of opposition parties have stated that it is essential to respect the Constitution and not block the voting.
