The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has claimed that a British military unit was deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of eliminating him, Rks News reports.
Dodik stated that three European heads of state and one prime minister informed him about the presence of around 40 British soldiers in Bosnia under a special order — not to arrest him, but to “eliminate” him.
“Three presidents of European countries and one prime minister told me that a British unit of about 40 soldiers arrived in Bosnia-Herzegovina under an order not to arrest me, but to ‘eliminate’ me — allegedly because I was ‘opposing’ them. Or maybe it’s the mafia principle — the man is the problem, and if there is no man, there is no problem. They didn’t deny it, but remained silent,” Dodik told Večernje novosti. “According to them, I was advised to leave — but they won’t be seeing that movie,” he added.
Dodik emphasized that he does not feel isolated and continues his daily life as normal, insisting that “political processes will never break me,” and vowing not to back down from his “fight for Republika Srpska.”
He also addressed suggestions from officials in Brussels, clearly stating he has no intention of stepping aside.
“They won’t be seeing that movie. I won’t leave, not even if NATO comes to arrest me,” declared the 66-year-old.
Dodik, who has already been convicted in the first instance, has refused to respond to a summons by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding suspicions of involvement in an attack on the constitutional order of the country. Additionally, the Speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, and RS Prime Minister Radovan Višković are also suspects in the case.
