The MP from Vetëvendosje, Faton Peci, stated that they will once again attempt to establish the committee responsible for organizing the secret vote to elect the Speaker of the Assembly, Rks News reports.
“Every day, we come with positive will, hoping that the other parties will also reflect. Today, we will once again attempt to form the committee,” he told the media.
Asked about a possible meeting convened by President Vjosa Osmani, Peci said they are open to dialogue but will review the content of the invitation.
“Beyond the invitation itself, the content is very important,” he emphasized.
The MP confirmed that Vetëvendosje still stands behind Albulena Haxhiu’s candidacy for Speaker of the Assembly:
“We still have the same nominee for Speaker – Albulena Haxhiu.”
