European Council President Meets Regional Leaders, Only with President Osmani in Pristina

European Council President, Antonio Costa, is set to visit the Western Balkans from May 12 to 16, 2025, where he will meet with regional leaders and co-host the European Political Community Summit in Tirana.

As part of this official visit, Costa will stay in Pristina on May 14, where a meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani is scheduled.

According to the published agenda, Costa will meet with all leaders from the Western Balkans, including presidents and prime ministers of the region’s countries, except Albin Kurti, to discuss issues of mutual interest.

A key point of the visit will be the European Political Community Summit, which will take place on May 16 in the Albanian capital, Tirana. The summit is expected to bring together leaders from European countries under the theme: “A New Europe in a New World: Unity – Cooperation – Harmonious Action,” with a special focus on security and policy coordination between both EU and non-EU member states.
