The UK Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, held an important meeting with representatives from civil society organizations at the British Residence today. The central topic of discussion was the institutional deadlock and the urgent need for the constitution of Kosovo’s new Assembly.
Ambassador Hargreaves highly praised the active role of civil society in pressing the political class to take responsibility during this complex period for the country. He emphasized that the formation of new institutions is essential for democratic functioning and for the continuation of Kosovo’s development agenda.
“Civil society has a fundamental role in strengthening democracy. I am grateful for their dedication to helping overcome the political blockade and fostering accountability among political leaders,” the ambassador stated.
