Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, has strongly condemned the United States’ attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning of severe and long-lasting repercussions.

“This morning’s events are ugly and will have permanent consequences,” Araqchi declared in a post on X. He emphasized that Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people, as reported by CNN.

According to Araqchi, the US has committed a “grave violation of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)” by attacking installations that, according to Iran, are for peaceful purposes.
