United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed grave concern following the United States’ attacks on Iran, warning that the conflict could rapidly spiral out of control.
Guterres stated there’s an “increasing risk that this conflict will quickly spiral out of control, with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world,” as reported by the BBC.
He emphasized the urgent need to prevent further chaos, asserting, “In this dangerous hour, it is essential to avoid a spiral of chaos. There is no military solution. The only way forward is diplomacy. The only hope is peace.“
