Pristina, July 19, 2025 — The heavy vehicle traffic that marked Kosovo’s border crossings earlier today has now eased significantly, with waiting times reduced to a minimum and no queues reported.
According to the latest update from the National Center for Border Management at 23:16, Kosovar diaspora travelers will no longer face long delays upon entering the country, although waiting times still vary slightly by border point.
Earlier today, delays of up to one hour were reported, especially at the Dheu i Bardhë crossing. Now, the longest wait is 15 to 20 minutes at the Jarinje crossing. At Merdare, travelers are waiting only 5 to 10 minutes, while all other border points report a maximum wait of five minutes.
No traffic jams have been reported at any crossing.
This reduction in wait times is welcome news as large numbers of citizens from the diaspora continue to return home during the summer season.
