All Kosovo Customs officers, except those on active duty shifts, are required to attend the Graduation Ceremony of Customs Cadets on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The event is organized as part of the celebrations marking the 26th anniversary of the establishment of Kosovo Customs.
According to an email obtained by Reporteri.net, sent to all customs officers a few weeks ago, attendance is mandatory. Those unable to attend must justify their absence in advance, with notifications due by August 1, 2025. The message, signed by the Office of the Director General of Kosovo Customs, stresses that absence without prior justification will not be acceptable.
Agron Llugaliu, who has served as Director General since April 2021 and was reappointed in April 2025 by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, heads the institution.
Reporteri.net contacted Kosovo Customs for clarification on why such attendance was compulsory and whether similar requirements were imposed in previous years, but no response was received by the time of publication.
The graduation ceremony for new customs cadets will begin at 9:00 AM in the “1 Tetori” hall. Officers have been instructed to attend in official uniforms.
