A mortar shell is suspected to have penetrated a house in Vushtrri, landing directly in the kitchen.
According to the Kosovo Police daily report, the incident occurred on Sunday. Following consultation with the prosecutor, police searched the home of a neighbor who had hosted a family celebration days earlier. During the search, officers found and confiscated a pistol with one magazine.
“It is suspected that a mortar shell penetrated a house — in the kitchen. Specialized units responded to the scene and confiscated the shell. Following consultation with the prosecutor, the home of a male Kosovar neighbor — who had held a family celebration days before — was searched, resulting in the seizure of a pistol and one magazine. By order of the prosecutor, the case will proceed under regular procedure,” the report states.
