The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has reacted to the statements of the ambassadors of the QUINT states in Kosovo, who demanded that Serbs reconsider their decision not to participate in the vote for the change of mayors in the north.
“Look at how far this shamelessness goes. So Kurti organizes elections. 3.4 percent participate in those elections, before that he carries out countless actions against the Serbian people. He arrests people, mistreats them. They beat people, injure people. They hold “Genius elections” and tell us – it’s not a problem, agree to participate in the elections, they will immediately resign. And then when they agree, they say, we will not resign,” Vučić said, referring to the QUINT letter.
“We say, okay, what do you want from us now? So, they say, just make a petition, you need to gather about 20 percent of the total number of registered voters. You need to collect signatures so that the petition is valid with all of Kurti’s deceptions, where you say that half of them don’t count for you and so on. We gathered them all and then they say no no and now you participate in the referendum and in the referendum we need to get 50 plus 1 of the total registered votes,” he said.
“The Serbian List tells them, this is incomprehensible, and they say that after everything, after the elections in which they got 3.4 percent, after everything they did, Belgrade is to blame. Shame on you. Look at yourselves in the mirror, liars.”, Vučić said.
