Currently, 215 soldiers are deployed in Kosovo, twenty more than before.

Switzerland is taking over the management of the transport company within KFOR, in Kosovo.

This has been made possible thanks to the increase in the Swisscoy troop quota voted by Parliament.

The change from the 49th contingent to the 50th of Swisscoy was made on Thursday, as announced by Swissint, the army’s training center for its international peacebuilding mission.

Switzerland took command of the multinational transport company from Austria on March 9.

In this way, Switzerland is contributing to efforts to stabilize the situation in the Western Balkans, according to a statement from the Swiss Ministry of Defense.
