The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, has congratulated the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) on the 10th anniversary of its membership in world football’s governing body.
In a post published on his Instagram profile, Infantino praised the progress of Kosovar football over the past decade, highlighting the growth of the sport and its positive impact on young generations and fans in Kosovo.
“Congratulations to the Football Federation of Kosovo on celebrating 10 years as a FIFA member association. Over the past decade, football in Kosovo has continued to grow and inspire many young players and supporters,” Infantino wrote.
He also reaffirmed FIFA’s continued commitment to supporting football development in Kosovo, while recalling the contribution of former FFK president Fadil Vokrri and the work of current president Agim Ademi.
“FIFA remains committed to supporting the development of the game in Kosovo, which was initially guided under the leadership of Fadil Vokrri and continues today through Agim Ademi and his team,” the FIFA president added.
Kosovo officially became a member of FIFA on May 13, 2016, marking one of the most historic moments for Kosovar sport.
