Images of anti-Albanian provocation emerged in Belgrade following a football match between OFK Belgrade and Crvena Zvezda, after supporters of the Serbian club were seen displaying and burning images of prominent Kosovo Albanian figures.

The incident took place during Sunday evening’s local derby, with the spotlight shifting from the pitch to the stands, where members of “Delije,” Crvena Zvezda’s organised supporters’ group, were filmed holding images of Kosovo’s former president Hashim Thaçi and current Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

The images were subsequently seen being burned, prompting attention over the provocative messages directed at Albanians during the sporting event in the Serbian capital.

It remains unclear whether UEFA or FIFA will respond to the incident or whether any disciplinary measures will be considered over the conduct displayed at the stadium.
