Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that there can be no lasting peace in the Middle East without putting an end to what he described as Israeli provocations.

Speaking to reporters following his visit to Kazakhstan, Erdogan emphasized that regional stability requires stronger cooperation and the avoidance of further escalation, adding that countries must protect the interests of their citizens.

He also addressed Turkey’s role within NATO and its relations with the European Union, describing his country as a “great opportunity” for the EU.

Regarding cooperation with the United States, Erdogan said that talks over the F-35 fighter jet program are ongoing and expressed hope for a positive outcome.
