Kosovo’s Defense Minister, Ejup Maqedonci, met with the current operations chief, Ariella Viehe, of NATO’s General Staff Operations Division.
Maqedonci briefed Viehe on current developments in the Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force, as well as plans for the future.
During the meeting, they also discussed the security situation in Kosovo, emphasizing that the deployment of Serbian military troops near the Kosovo border poses a continuous threat to Balkan stability, which must be addressed seriously by both Serbia and NATO.
Maqedonci reiterated the commitment to coordinate and cooperate closely with KFOR and NATO’s Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT), emphasizing Kosovo’s objective of NATO membership to actively contribute to peacekeeping missions and stability, a commitment pursued every day.
