Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani told BBC that Kosovo understands the path to peace, highlighting the country’s historical experience and the importance of international cooperation.

Osmani, who recently joined the Peace Board of U.S. President Donald Trump, noted that there are many reasons why Kosovo was invited to participate in this global mechanism.

Recalling Kosovo’s past, she emphasized that 26 years ago the country was devastated by war, and its people faced acts of genocide. She credited the intervention of the United States, supported by the United Kingdom and other democratic nations, with saving lives and paving the way for peace, freedom, and Kosovo’s independence.
