Burim Ramadani, who ran for deputy on the list of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) in the parliamentary elections of December 28, has raised the question of whether the country is heading toward new elections, as he commented on the formation of new institutions and the election of a president.
“Around February 20, the Assembly of Kosovo is expected to convene. From that day, there are two weeks to constitute the Assembly, elect the Government, approve the 2026 Budget, and begin the procedure for electing a new President,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
If all these processes are combined, Ramadani said that “a broader political agreement is then indispensable,” adding that he does not expect this to happen.
“I do not expect this to happen easily! Meanwhile, the new President must be elected no later than the final hours of March 4! Is the country heading to elections again?” he asked.
