Kosovo Police have arrested three individuals in Mitrovica on suspicion of involvement in unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution, and sale of narcotics and psychotropic substances, authorities confirmed.
The arrests were carried out during the night of February 4, 2026, by police units from the Mitrovica South Police Station, in cooperation with investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Drug Trafficking (DHTN).
According to official reports, the operation took place at two separate locations in Mitrovica. During the searches, police seized 47 packages containing suspected narcotic substances, with a total weight of 40.84 grams.
By order of the competent prosecutor, the three suspects have been placed under police detention, while investigations into the case remain ongoing under the supervision of the specialized anti-narcotics unit.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the identities of the suspects or the type of narcotics confiscated.
