According to the announcement, this membership opens new opportunities for Kosovo, including the exchange of best practices, capacity building, and the advancement of reforms in Kosovo’s correctional system.

Kosovo Correctional Service Joins the European Prison Network – EuroPris
Pristina, December 5, 2024 – A historic step and extraordinary achievement for Kosovo’s correctional system: the Kosovo Correctional Service (SHKK) has officially been accepted as a member of the prestigious European prison network EuroPris.
Today, the Director General of the Kosovo Correctional Service, Mr. Ismail Dibrani, received the official confirmation letter for membership. This decision marks a turning point in the international integration of the Kosovo Correctional Service, strengthening its position as a modern institution committed to European standards in the justice and correctional systems.
In his official letter, the Executive Director of EuroPris, Mr. Gustav Tallving, stated:
“On behalf of the Board and Secretariat of EuroPris, I am pleased to inform you that Kosovo’s application for membership in EuroPris has been approved. We warmly welcome the Kosovo Correctional Service into our respected network of European correctional services, where we look forward to enhancing cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint progress in the prison and probation sector.”
This membership offers new opportunities for Kosovo, including the exchange of best practices, professional capacity building, and the advancement of reforms in Kosovo’s correctional system.
