Mimoza Kusari, leader of the Alternativa party, which is part of the coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), has called on all members of the Kosovo Assembly to support Bekim Sejdiu’s candidacy for President.
Kusari described Sejdiu as a candidate capable of becoming “a President for everyone” one who respects the Constitution, strengthens state institutions and brings citizens together.
In a statement published on Facebook, she said Sejdiu’s candidacy deserves support because Kosovo needs a President who can represent the state beyond political divisions.
“With experience as a law professor, former judge of the Constitutional Court, diplomat and Ambassador of Kosovo, Prof. Sejdiu brings integrity, professionalism and institutional experience,” Kusari wrote.
She stressed that, at the current political moment, the election of the President should rise above party interests and focus on the interests of the Republic.
“At this moment, the election of the President must be above party interests. It must be a choice for the Republic,” she said.
