The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, met with the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Kosovo, Riho Terras, to discuss the country’s political situation following the elections, the Central Election Commission’s (CEC) certification of the final results, and the need to establish Kosovo’s new institutions as soon as possible.

During the meeting, Abdixhiku emphasized that full respect for the will of the citizens and democratic standards remains essential. He stressed that once the election results are officially certified, the necessary steps should be taken to establish stable and functional institutions that serve the interests of Kosovo.

Abdixhiku also welcomed the European Parliament Rapporteur’s report on Kosovo, which highlights the importance of advancing reforms, strengthening democratic institutions, and establishing fully functional state institutions as key steps on Kosovo’s path toward European integration.

He further expressed his gratitude for the continued support provided by the European Parliament and the European Union to Kosovo over the years, reaffirming the importance of close cooperation with European institutions in advancing the country’s democratic processes and European future.
