Tourism in Kosovo continued its upward trend in May 2026, with the number of hotel visitors increasing compared to the same period last year.
According to data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), a total of 69,081 visitors were registered in hotels during May. Of these, 25,026 were domestic visitors, while 44,055 were international visitors.
Compared to May 2025, when 61,931 visitors were recorded, the total number of hotel guests increased by 11.5%.
The KAS also reported a total of 155,599 overnight stays during the month. International visitors accounted for 88,957 overnight stays (57.2%), while domestic visitors recorded 66,642 overnight stays (42.8%).
The number of foreign visitors increased by 18.1% compared to May 2025. In total, 44,055 international tourists stayed in Kosovo’s hotels during May, with the largest numbers arriving from Albania, Germany, Türkiye, and Switzerland.
