A memorandum of cooperation has been signed, which will enable the establishment of a shelter for victims of domestic violence in Mitrovica.
On this occasion, the complex of former Remont buildings in the north has been made available for use, following the signing of the agreement between the Municipality of Mitrovica, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Justice.
“On this occasion, I am very happy that one of the buildings in this complex, together with the Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu and the Deputy Mayor of North Mitrovica Katarina Adancic, was designated as a center that will provide care and shelter for victims of domestic violence,” wrote the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, stated that they remain committed to ensuring that shelter services are offered as close as possible to the victim, without any discrimination.
