Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci has stated that the terrorist group responsible for the September 2023 attack in Banjskë, which aimed to annex part of Kosovo, continues to remain free and supported by Serbia, posing a significant threat to Kosovo’s stability.
Maqedonci emphasized that it is unacceptable for this terrorist group to remain free and receive support from Serbian security structures. He expressed concern that this group continues to be protected and supported by security structures in Serbia, often being positioned near the Kosovo border and maintaining continuous connections with individuals and groups in the northern part of Kosovo.
According to Maqedonci, this poses an ongoing threat to the security of Kosovo, especially in the northern region.
He also stressed that Serbia has international obligations to extradite terrorists who have committed crimes in Kosovo.
Maqedonci further highlighted that Serbia’s attempts to continue its hegemonic policy towards Kosovo, deny the existence of the state of Kosovo, and contribute to the destabilization of the region are unacceptable.
