The Collective for Feminist Thought and Action reacted following the detention of over 500 international activists by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Among those taken, according to the collective, is Albanian activist Albulena Fazliu, a war refugee from Kosovo currently living in Germany.
The collective urges the Kosovo government to take immediate action to secure the release of Albulena and the other activists, and to adopt a political stance against the Israeli oppression of the Palestinian people.
“It is the duty of institutions and society to stand alongside Albulena,” the statement reads.
The fleet of 40 international ships is attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, while tensions remain high.
