Because the defense of the accused Blagoje Spasojevic, Vladimir TOLIC and Dusan Maksimovic requested to terminate the initial hearing in the “Banjska” case on the grounds that they received the case papers electronically and late, the hearing was interrupted.
Initially, Blagoje Spasojevic’s defence lawyer Ljubimir Pantovic asked for an end to the hearing on the grounds that he received the papers electronically and not physically. Pantovic’s statement was also supported by the defendants ‘ defenders Maksimovic and TOLIC, lawyers Jovana Filipovic and Milos Delevic.
On the other hand, lawyer Koci said that the request does not have legal support because they were able to print those documents themselves
Meanwhile, special prosecutor Naim Abazi said that it was impossible for the case files to be submitted physically, so they submitted them electronically.
Later, Judge Hoti said that they consider that the prosecution has fulfilled the legal obligation of submitting the case papers, so he asked to be passed with the reading of the indictment.
Pantovic, however, demanded the speech again, saying that the papers were received electronically on Monday afternoon and that they were not prepared for the hearing because the indictment is voluminous and that their defenders do not know its contents.
And prosecutor Abazi said that the request for postponement of the initial review is unacceptable since the indictment and Case Files have been submitted and for this they have evidence, reports The Oath for Justice.
Subsequently, the court made a decision and suspended the initial examination, in order for the accused to be provided with the charge and to know its contents, and then to be given the right to plead guilty.
