The ongoing attacks against Kosovo by Serbian criminals, backed by the genocidal Serbian government, continue to escalate in both frequency and violence. A few days ago, Serbian terrorists targeted a police station in Kosovo, followed by an attack on the Municipality of Zveçan yesterday. The situation took a grave turn last night when dynamite was thrown into the channels of the “Ibër-Lepenci” Waterworks in northern Kosovo. This attack is not only an assault on Kosovo’s security forces but a direct strike against the well-being of its citizens, threatening vital infrastructure and basic resources.
As a result of this terrorist attack, the Ibër-Lepenci canal has been severely damaged, disrupting the water supply for a significant portion of Kosovo’s population. Citizens are now being urged to store reserves of drinking water, as there is no clear timeline for when the repair work will be completed. The situation is dire, and there is also the looming risk of disruptions to electricity supplies in the region.
The consequences of these actions are catastrophic. Most areas that rely on the Ibër-Lepenci canal for drinking water will now be without it for an indefinite period. This deliberate act of terrorism has been orchestrated by Serbian criminals, with full support from the government in Belgrade. The attack on the water infrastructure is a cold-blooded, calculated attempt to create chaos and hardship for the people of Kosovo.
The international community must ask itself: Why is Kosovo being openly attacked without any significant response from its so-called allies? Why are these acts of terrorism being ignored? Must Kosovo wait for another tragedy, like the Banjska massacre, to draw global attention? Why is the international community silent while Kosovo continues to endure these direct assaults on its sovereignty and security?
Kosovo, and its citizens, need more than empty statements of support. The Republic of Kosovo urgently calls for concrete action. The time for words has passed—Kosovo needs immediate and decisive international support to stop the violence and hold those responsible accountable.
This is a call for action from Kosovo to the world: Stand with us now, or risk further escalation that could have devastating consequences for the entire region. Credit to Kaltrina Kamberi @thisiskaltri for highlighting the gravity of this situation.
