Bedri Hamza has emerged as the only declared candidate for the position of Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).

Addressing the delegates at the 12th PDK Convention, Hamza opened his speech by extending gratitude to the party’s activists and members for their work, patience, and resilience during challenging times.

“Today is one of those moments where the spirit of PDK speaks louder than words. And standing before you, I feel a great weight: the weight of responsibility. Responsibility toward your sacrifices, toward every day of work, every hour of effort, and every sacrifice you have made for our party and our country,” said Hamza.

He praised the party membership, youth wing, and other structures as the engine of PDK, noting that their dedication has made every challenge surmountable and every victory possible.

Hamza emphasized that the party’s endurance through various setbacks is rooted in its origins:

“Do you know why? Because PDK was built on national sacrifice, not personal interest. PDK was born in struggle, resilience, and sacrifice. Its DNA carries the marks of freedom, the ideals of resistance, and the spirit of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).”

With no opposing candidates announced, Hamza is poised to take the helm of the party.
