The British Embassy in Manama has taken what it described as a “precautionary measure” by temporarily withdrawing some staff members and their dependents.
Authorities did not immediately disclose how many individuals have departed from the capital of Bahrain. However, British officials stressed that the embassy will continue to operate normally.
Meanwhile, the government of the United Kingdom has advised its citizens to avoid all travel to Bahrain unless it is deemed essential.
The move comes amid heightened regional tensions and reflects growing security concerns in parts of the Gulf.
