The official account of the British Embassy has distributed the video of the British lieutenant colonel, Martin Browning, as he remembers the period when he served in Kosovo during 1999.
25 years ago, Browning was put to the service of Kosovo in war and peace. Lieutenant Colonel Browning is proud of the achievements in Kosovo.
“My name is Martin Browning and 25 years ago with 10,500 other British soldiers we crossed the borders to Kosovo to make an election for peace. I am very proud of what we have achieved. The names on the memorial behind me represent those soldiers who did not come home. And I know you value life as much as I do. And cherish the memories of these soldiers as if they were your own,” he says in the video published on the X social network.
Until, through the post, the Embassy expresses pride that British soldiers had entered Kosovo to stop the humanitarian disaster.
“Lieutenant Colonel Martin Browning was part of the British Army force that entered Kosovo to stop the humanitarian disaster as part of the NATO Force in Kosovo – KFOR. We are extremely proud of those who paid the ultimate price to ensure peace,” the British Embassy posted, accompanied by Browning’s video.
