The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI), through the Central Market Inspectorate (IQMT), is carrying out inspection operations aimed at preventing and combating the illegal sale of electronic cigarettes to minors.
During the first half of June 2026, inspections were primarily focused on businesses operating near schools and engaged in the sale of electronic cigarettes.
The inspections were conducted in the municipalities of Pristina, Prizren, Gjilan, Vushtrri, Ferizaj, and Vitia, where inspectors verified compliance with Law No. 04/L-156 on Tobacco Control regarding the sale of tobacco products and similar products.
Violations identified during these inspections are currently being processed and will be addressed in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
Meanwhile, the Central Market Inspectorate will continue similar inspection activities throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
