American General Wesley Clark praised Albania’s economic development, stating that the country is doing well in this regard, while noting that Kosovo could do more to achieve similar results.
Clark expressed confidence that the elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, would make the right decisions concerning the Western Balkans. He mentioned that this is a transitional period for the region, adding that U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, as part of the incoming administration, will take the necessary steps to help further develop these countries.
“Albania is doing very well with economic development, Kosovo can do more. We need to help these regions achieve more prosperity,” said Clark. He also emphasized that Trump’s election would lead to important decisions for the Balkans, stating his belief that the upcoming U.S. administration will take the right actions for this crucial region in global politics and economics.
