In an interview on Rubikon with Klan Kosova, AAK MP Daut Haradinaj stated unequivocally that neither he nor his fellow AAK deputies will vote for Albin Kurti to serve another term as Prime Minister.
Haradinaj emphasized that their stance remains unchanged — even if offered the position of President of Kosovo in return. He added that this topic is no longer even part of political discussions.
“Under these circumstances, there can be no vote for Albin Kurti — there’s a mountain between us. I don’t even want to comment further. There will be no vote. Nothing has changed for us to change our position. [If he offers the presidency?] Thank you, but no — we won’t give him our vote. We’re not ready, and the presidency is no longer on the table,” Haradinaj said on Rubikon.
He acknowledged that the formation of a Kurti 3 government is theoretically possible, but mathematically very difficult, as the Prime Minister currently lacks at least 14 votes in the Assembly.
“I’ll never completely rule out the possibility of a Kurti 3, because in politics you should never say never. But I don’t see a solution. Based on my parliamentary experience, he only has 48 deputies — and he’s missing at least 14 more,” Haradinaj concluded.
