In Gramsh, the assessment of damages from the August 11 fire has been completed. The blaze, which lasted several days, destroyed dozens of homes and thousands of hectares of farmland, and claimed one life.
The total estimated cost of the damages is around 31 million euros, and the report has been submitted to the National Civil Protection Agency to initiate recovery procedures.
Key details include:
- 68 homes were damaged — 10 completely and 42 partially. The Gramsh municipality is preparing reconstruction and renovation projects for the affected houses.
- Significant losses were recorded in livestock and agricultural land, including 215 small livestock, 9 cattle, and 7 equines.
- The fire also destroyed dozens of hectares of olive groves, vineyards, medicinal plants, and fruit trees.
Once the funding is approved by the Civil Protection Agency, recovery interventions will begin to restore the affected areas to normalcy.
