Newly elected MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Daut Haradinaj, has warned that today’s parliamentary session on forming the new government could include a secret ballot, hinting at behind-the-scenes negotiations.
Haradinaj stated that he does not expect a clear solution to emerge today, but left open the possibility that Vetëvendosje (VV) may have secured enough votes through individual deals with certain MPs.
“If they managed to strike individual deals overnight, then we’ll see what happens. From what I’ve heard, they might attempt a secret ballot,” Haradinaj said.
He added that even if the numbers are reached, “it would be a government of bargains, not of programs.”
