Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Arben Gashi stated that his party’s stance remains unchanged, expressing doubt that any LDK member would vote in favor of forming the new government led by Albin Kurti.

Gashi said he is unaware whether Vetëvendosje (VV) has secured the required votes for today’s parliamentary session, or if that might happen with support from any LDK deputies.

“That’s something to discuss after the session. I believe it’s very delicate to vote for a government without a political agreement, especially after eight months of an unnecessarily tense situation. It’s very difficult for anyone from LDK to do that — but I don’t know,” Gashi said.

He also warned that Kosovo could face a budgetary crisis, noting that if the government is not formed soon, no payments might be possible from January 1 onward.
