Albanian media have reported that protesters and police reached an agreement allowing demonstrators to gather outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana following successful negotiations.
According to the reports, police officers stepped back to allow citizens to assemble in front of the government building.
Chanting “Take off your helmets,” protesters continued to express their dissatisfaction with the Albanian government.
A parent holding a young child positioned themselves in front of the main entrance to the Prime Minister’s Office, conveying a message that citizens intended to continue protesting peacefully, Klan TV reported.
The reported agreement marks a change in the police response at the scene, allowing the demonstration to continue outside the government headquarters.
