Authorities in North Macedonia have stated that the initial investigation into the death of a 25-year-old woman from Kosovo in the city of Tetovo shows no indications of a criminal act.
According to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo, early findings do not suggest that the woman’s death resulted from a criminal offense, though investigations are ongoing.
“The on-duty prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Tetovo carried out an on-site investigation where the woman’s body was found, as well as in the rented apartment where she had been staying,” the statement read.
“All necessary actions are being taken to determine the cause of death, including detailed forensic examinations and analyses at the scene. However, initial data and traces collected so far do not indicate that the death was caused by a criminal act,” the office added.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation remains active and that further forensic results will determine the final cause of death.
