Two vehicles belonging to the Municipality of Zveçan were intentionally set on fire by unknown individuals late last night. While there was material damage, no injuries were reported.
The news was confirmed by Veton Elshani, acting director of police for the northern region.

“Around 1:40 AM, two vehicles were damaged with Molotov cocktails, according to information. The police are on site and investigating the case. We respond to the locations as we receive notifications. So far, we have no arrests or suspects, and there are no injuries. We are investigating several arson cases, but as of now, no one has been arrested for last night’s incident,” he said.
Mayor of Zveçan, Peci, Stated:

“In the early hours of the morning, I received the news from the Kosovo Police. Unknown individuals set fire to two official vehicles in the municipality’s parking lot. As mayor, I condemn this act and urge the security institutions to quickly arrest those responsible and bring them to justice,” he said.
He does not know the motive behind this attack but mentioned that the police are investigating the case.
Peci: We Feel Safe and Are Not Afraid
“We have felt safe for the past three months we’ve been here. Until early this morning, nothing like this has happened, but incidents occur…we cannot provide more details at the moment. The police will verify what happened and who is responsible as soon as possible. We are not intimidated by this act and will continue our work as usual,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to KP sources, the arson incidents today and several months earlier are being carried out by minors.
