The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaia Kallas, has called an emergency meeting of the EU’s foreign ministers in response to the dramatic escalation in the Middle East, following Israel’s strike on Iran and Tehran’s retaliation.
“Given the seriousness of the situation in the Middle East, High Representative Kaia Kallas has convened a meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers via video conference for Tuesday,” said a spokesperson.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views, coordinate diplomatic approaches toward Tel Aviv and Tehran, and outline possible next steps.
