The President of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, announced that he will attend the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan.
“I received an invitation and I will go to Kazan; I will be in Kazan on October 19. Republika Srpska does not have international capacity, but it is very important for us to be observers at this gathering and part of that overall environment,” Dodik said. He expressed confidence that he would meet some important people in Kazan.
Dodik stated in an interview with TV “Pink” that BRICS has not been declared an anti-Western entity in the West, even though there are fears regarding this organization. He emphasized that it is a legitimate right for states to decide whether to join.
He noted that in relation to attending the BRICS summit, Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić should evaluate all important elements for the country.
Dodik acknowledged that when he goes to the BRICS summit, there will likely be more propaganda against him and that new sanctions might be imposed.
