The emissary of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has expressed the unwavering support of the USA for the independence, territorial integrity, sovereignty and security of Kosovo.
In an interview given to the Atlantic Council, he said that the United States has built a deep relationship with the people of Kosovo, and this relationship is unchanging.
“We remain very pro-Kosovo and everywhere I have traveled I have felt a warm feeling of reciprocity, they are very pro-American, which strengthens and stabilizes our relations”, he said.
Escobar mentioned the challenges that both countries have encountered in relation to regional politics and cooperation to advance Kosovo’s national interests.
“I have great hope that our relations will continue to strengthen. And I can say with conviction that there is a clear will, not only in the US but also within QUINT, to improve and expand this relationship,” the American diplomat asserted.
Meanwhile, Escobar also announced that he will soon take on a new assignment within American diplomacy.
