The European Union Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, has strongly condemned the explosion that occurred today at the Ibër-Lepenc water canal in Zubin Potok. The blast has caused significant damage to the vital infrastructure, disrupting water supplies to large parts of Kosovo.

In a statement posted on X, Orav expressed his deep concern over the attack and called for a swift investigation into the incident. He emphasized that those responsible should be held accountable and brought to justice.

“I condemn this serious incident that has caused damage to the water canal in Zubin Potok, depriving significant parts of Kosovo of access to water,” Orav stated. “I have offered the European Union’s assistance to the authorities in Kosovo. The incident must be thoroughly investigated, and those responsible should face justice.”

This attack is another in a series of destabilizing actions aimed at Kosovo’s critical infrastructure. The European Union’s commitment to supporting Kosovo’s authorities in ensuring the safety and security of its citizens remains steadfast.

The explosion not only affects the water supply but also highlights the vulnerabilities in Kosovo’s essential services. Orav’s statement calls for both local and international efforts to address such threats and safeguard the country’s infrastructure. The EU continues to stand in solidarity with Kosovo in the face of these challenges.
