The Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful voting process in the four northern municipalities.
In a post on the X platform, Barbano stated that EULEX finds the peaceful conduct of the voting process acceptable.
“After the conclusion of the voting, EULEX acknowledges the peaceful manner in which the process unfolded. We commend the efforts shown by all those involved in providing security in the 4 northern municipalities throughout the day,” wrote Barbano.
Meanwhile, following the conclusion of the voting in the north, President Vjosa Osmani accused Serbia of interference in the process.
She stated that the majority of citizens did not utilize the opportunity to change mayors due to pressure from Belgrade.
