The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) in the European Parliament has congratulated Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, on his party’s major victory in Sunday’s elections.
In a social media post, Iratxe Garcia Perez, the leader of the second-largest group in the European Parliament, expressed strong support for Kurti’s anti-corruption stance and social agenda.
“Congratulations to Albin Kurti and the Vetëvendosje party in Kosovo for securing another big victory in Sunday’s elections. We fully support your commitment to governing with a strong social agenda and a firm stance against corruption,” Perez stated.
Vetëvendosje is affiliated with the European center-left political family.
