The Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, attended a farewell dinner last night at the Italian residence, marking the conclusion of the mission of KFOR Commander Major General Enrico Barduani.
During the ceremony, Kurti expressed his gratitude to General Barduani for the continuous cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions and NATO’s mission in Kosovo (KFOR). He praised the commander’s commitment to peace and security during his mandate.
Kurti emphasized the importance of the NATO-led KFOR mission, which has played a key role in ensuring stability in Kosovo since 1999. He also underlined that the cooperation between KFOR and Kosovo’s institutions remains crucial for maintaining peace and strengthening democratic development.
“On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, I thank General Major Barduani for his dedication and service as KFOR Commander, and I wish him success in his future duties,” Kurti stated.
The farewell event highlighted the strong partnership between Kosovo and NATO, reaffirming the role of KFOR as a pillar of security and regional stability.
