Mira Murati, a well-known Albanian name in the global technology world, continues to strengthen her position as one of the key figures in Artificial Intelligence. From a promising name in Silicon Valley, she is now a force shaping the future of technology.
For this extraordinary impact, the prestigious magazine Fortune has included her for the first time in the list of the 50 most powerful women in the world, ranking her 47th. In the previous ranking, she was 57th, marking a significant rise on the global stage.
“Mira Murati, former Chief Technology Officer of OpenAI, surprised Silicon Valley when she resigned in September 2024. She was the mind behind the ChatGPT revolution, the model that completely changed the landscape of Artificial Intelligence. Six months later, Murati introduced Thinking Machines Lab, an innovative AI startup that has created quite a buzz, although it still operates in secrecy,” writes Fortune.
According to the magazine, despite the lack of details about her new startup, Murati’s impact is clear and impressive.
“While details about the project remain scarce, the impact of the 36-year-old is clear: by mid-May, she was close to securing a $2 billion investment—the largest round in tech history—valuing Thinking Machines at $10 billion,” it adds.
